High Phosphorus

Electroless or chemical nickel is an autocatalytic process (in the absence of external current) to deposit nickel phosphorus alloys.

This process is suitable for surface coatings of nearly all metals including their alloys. Autocatalytic deposited nickel coatings are highly suitable for work pieces with a complex geometry, as a homogeneous, plan-parallel distribution of the coating thickness is always achieved independent from the form of the component. For this purpose an appropriate surface quality and pretreatment of the work piece is necessary.

The MTV NT GmbH uses electroless nickel alloys with phosphorus content of 10.5 – 12.0 weight-% are X-ray amorphous in the structure and that not only display very good resistance against abrasive wear but also excellent corrosion protection.
